Turns out, I was out of sync with our engineering team with regards to some technical aspects. Sebastian, a member of the sipgate engineering team, was quick to point them out to me. Let me sum up his points for you:

- MWI is not available in the U.S. as of today
- Voicemail is 8 kHz (converted from G.711 to mp3 in most cases)
- G.722 requires an account to be run in "Compatibility Mode" (to be found in "Advanced Settings") for the time being

I hope this helps clarify some confusion, which has been arisen - in particular with regards to the 16 kHz bit.

All the best,
Thilo
