Event: Friday March 28th at 12 Noon EDT
"Dangerous Demos" series: We try to tie together a JitMeet session, a Google Hangout on Air and ZipDX Audio conference bridge.
Jitsi (formerly SIP Communicator) is an audio/video and chat communicator that supports protocols such as SIP, XMPP/Jabber, AIM/ICQ, Windows Live, Yahoo! and many other useful features. This Friday Emil Ivov will be telling us about the work the jitsi.org community has been doing on Video Conferencing and WebRTC during the past months and how close they are to providing a fully open, quality alternative to systems like Hangouts. We are also likely to chat about how VoIP clients fare in a world with WebRTC, the state of that technology, video conferencing techniques and differentiators, and the future plans of the jitsi.org community.
